1. Who We Are

LiverTracker ("we", "us", "our") is a health intelligence platform that helps patients track and understand their liver health through AI-powered analysis of lab reports and imaging results. Our website is livertracker.com.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed).
• Health data: lab reports, imaging reports, and medical scores you upload or enter.
• Profile data: date of birth, liver condition, and other health profile fields you provide.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device/browser information.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the LiverTracker service.
• To generate AI-powered health insights from your uploaded reports.
• To send you account-related emails (approval, password reset, etc.).
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal or health data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your files are stored in Google Cloud Storage with user-level isolation. Databases are hosted on Neon (PostgreSQL). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your health information.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the third-party services necessary to operate LiverTracker. We do not share your health data with advertisers, insurers, or employers.

5a. Third-Party AI Service

LiverTracker uses OpenAI, Inc.'s API to power the following features:

• AI Health Chat: Your lab values, imaging findings, medical scores (MELD, Child-Pugh), profile information (age, gender, diagnosis type), and chat messages are sent to OpenAI, Inc. to generate personalized health guidance.
• Lab Report Extraction: Uploaded lab report images are sent to OpenAI, Inc.'s Vision API to extract lab values.
• Food Scanner: Ingredient label images are sent to OpenAI, Inc.'s Vision API for liver-safe food analysis.
• AI Health Insights: Your aggregated health data is sent to OpenAI, Inc. to generate health summaries and recommendations.

OpenAI, Inc. processes this data solely to generate responses and does not use it to train their models (per OpenAI's API data usage policy). We do not send your data to any other AI provider. The app requests your explicit consent before sending any data to OpenAI for the first time in each feature.

6. Your Rights

• You can request a copy of your data at any time.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• You can update your profile information from within the app.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

LiverTracker is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
